COMPOSITION:
MTA+ powder: Oxides: calcium, silicon, iron, aluminium, sodium, potassium, magnesium, calcium phosphate (representing approx. 3/4 of the total) and bismuth and zirconium oxide.
MTA+ liquid: Ph. Eur. purified water.

INTENDED USE
The product is intended for dental treatment as a material for filling and remineralisation of root canals.
MTA+ is particularly indicated for:
– perforations of root canal walls,
– intracanal resorptions,
– root tip backfilling,
– direct pulp capping,
– during pulp amputation surgery,
– treatment of teeth with incomplete root development.
The high content of calcium ions remineralises the tooth tissue. Calcium-silicon compounds support tissue reconstruction following wall perforation and intracanal resorption.
Radiopaque.
MTA+ meets the requirements of EN ISO 6876.

CONTRAINDICATIONS
Do not use in inflammatory conditions. Acidic pH values disrupt setting of MTA+. The MTA+ cannot be used as a full root canal filling, as its potential removal will be difficult.

WARNINGS AND PRECAUTIONS
Causes serious eye damage.
Irritating to the mucous membranes of the oral cavity and skin.
May cause respiratory irritation. Exposure to moisture, including blood, reduces the curing time. Complete filling of the root canal may reduce the resistance of the root to fracture.
Discolouration might occur.
Endodontic treatment may involve temporary pain, swelling and postoperative tenderness. The use of permanent dental fillings can be associated with bacterial microleakage. MTA+ has cytotoxic potential.
Use a cofferdam, disposable gloves, safety goggles/visors and protective clothing when handling the product. In case of contact, rinse immediately with plenty of water. If swallowed, rinse the mouth with water. Do not induce vomiting. Avoid creating and inhaling dust. In case of worrying symptoms, consult a doctor. Keep out of the reach of children.
Any serious incident involving the product should be reported to the manufacturer and the competent authority of the State in which the user or patient is domiciled.
